Project
Sidecar originally approached Embark Marketing for assistance in creating a WordPress website. Additionally, they required assistance with their grand opening public relations, and overall social media management. We took this opportunity to showcase the unique cocktails and spirits, as well as atmosphere, as a means to enhance their brands digital presence, build a customer database, and increase overall sales. Together with Embark Marketing, over the past six months they achieve these goals through use of social media, website development, & public relations.
Website Development & Maintenance
We designed a responsive website that provided a unique look that represented the establishments vibe, and was also user friendly, mobile compatible & SEO enriched. With this website, Sidecar was able to capture more organic traffic, generated through web browsers such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
Social Media Marketing
Embark Marketing focused on three social media platforms for Sidecar: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We felt that these platforms would be the most beneficial in order to reach the desired audience. The goal of Sidecar’s social media was to build and maintain brand awareness and showcase hand crafted cocktails, unique spirits & the live music atmosphere. Facebook:
Over the past six month Facebook page likes accumulated to 1279 users.
Facebook page likes increased 363% in the 1st quarter &
31% in the 2nd quarter.
What does this mean?
Increasing likes on a Facebook page helps with overall marketing by being able to expose your content to a targeted audience. It validates that the posts are being seen, it shows loyalty to the business, In other words it can show the improvement of the business.

Over the past six month Twitter followers grew to 97 users. In the first quarter for total Twitter Impressions we saw a 45.51% increase and a 141.67% increase in the second quarter.

What is a Twitter impression?
An impression is the delivery of a post or tweet to an individual Twitter user’s account. Twitter described this as, “The total number of times someone interacted with a tweet.” For instance, anytime someone clicks on the business’s username, profile, replies, likes, links, hashtags, or media an impression is made.
Why is a Twitter impression helpful?
Many users do not directly follow, reply, or like a tweet on Twitter. Therefore, an impression helps by showing that the posts are reaching consumers. With this number, we can see that more people are engaging with the social media content, and this increases the overall people reached.
Using a unique layout of content for Sidecar’s Instagram we were able to grow the venue’s followers to 1,385 users in 6 months.
Public Relations
Embark Marketing utilized regional media contacts in Texas to help promote and create an aware audience for Sidecar. During the past six months, Sidecar’s public relations grew substantially. Public relations is what drives more people organically to your brand. Therefore, without PR the traffic to the business’ site and social media sites would decrease tremendously.
Sales Analysis
In six months Sidecar saw an average increase in revenue, month over month between 13-20%, except in the months of January and February. We attribute this decrease due to the post-holiday season and inclement weather.
